About DOAC
DOAC is the central facility of the acquistion, storage, retrieval and dissemination of Scientific and Technical Information (STI) supporting the Research and Engineering needs of the Department of Defense.
TEMS is no longer the central point of access for STI. DOAC is now the DTIC gateway to an enhanced collection of Department of Defense (DoD) unclassified and controlled information. This includes Science and Technology (S&T) and research and engineering (R&E) resources. DOAC provides access to technical reports including Information Analysis Center (IAC-TEMS database) reports, DoDTechipedia, and Aristotle.
DOAC Registration Information
You must be registered to use the DOAC search and other resources including querying congressional budget information, DoD S&T planning documents and tools, over three and one half million technical reports, information on research in progress, and collaboration opportunities. Features include:

TEMS is: |
- A gateway for authorized users to store, search, retrieve, and use IAC electronic Scientific and Technical Information (STI ) from the Defense Technical Information Center (DTIC) at Ft. Belvoir, VA

TEMS comprises: |
- A unique and growing repository of STI consisting of more than 19,000 Information Assurance (IA) documents. Whether you are performing IA Research & Development (R&D), Certification & Accreditation (C&A) analysis, NetOps analysis, cryptographic analysis, Modeling & Simulation (M&S), architecture design, or Concept of Operations (CONOPS) and policy development. Researching through TEMS should be your first stop for information related to IA, Defensive Information Operations, Information Warfare and Computer Network Operations.

- Full-text searching through a simple search functionality similar to those found on many Internet search pages

- A more complex, algorithmically based search option using a commercial search engine

TEMS affords: |
- Different levels of access: some may see actual scanned documents, while others may see only a document's metadata and can use other channels to request copies of restricted-access documents

- Each IAC access to its metadata and PDF file archive before transmitting it to the CTS
