STI (Scientific and Technical Information)
IATAC Scientific and Technical Information (STI) Program
The Information Assurance Technology Analysis Center (IATAC) has
the task of actively collecting information assurance/defensive information
operations (IA/DIO)-related STI to share with the Department of Defense
(DoD), other
Federal Agencies, their contractors, and the research and engineering
(R&E) community. The STI Program is governed by DoD Directive 3200.12, “DoD
Scientific and Technical Information (STI) Program (STIP).”
IATAC currently has thousands of IA/DIO-related documents in its
technical repository and with your help the collection will continue
to grow. The collection is a combination of classified and unclassified
material.
All of IATAC’s documents are uploaded to the Total Electronic Migration
System (TEMS), which is an online repository of STI from all of Defense
Technical Information Center’s (DTIC’s) Information Analysis
Centers (IACs).
Why Contribute to the STI Program?
The IATAC STI Program benefits the IA/DIO community in a variety
of ways—
- All submitted STI is placed in a permanent and protected
repository.
- The library facilitates knowledge sharing between diverse
groups and organizations.
- The STI is readily accessible to the IA/DIO community within
the classification and secondary distribution instructions.
- Saves time and resources for your organization and all
authorized users by eliminating duplication of effort.
Research Areas of Interest:
All STI submitted to IATAC should be relevant
to IA/DIO research, development, engineering, testing, evaluation,
production, operation,
use, or maintenance (http://www.dtic.mil/dtic/submitting/).
