Information Assurance Training : Cyber Security for System Users

Information Assurance Technology Analysis Center (IATAC) Offers
Cyber Security for System Users Course

This awareness-level course answers the question, What is cyber security? It is designed to promote security awareness among all users of IT systems. The course defines the term “cyber security” as well as the primary tenets of IA—confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, and nonrepudiation. It provides a macro view of IA and introduces students to three categories of security controls: management, operational, and technical. It identifies and discusses user-related threats and vulnerabilities of IT systems, and it identifies security best practices that users should follow in protecting information and information resources within their working environment.

System users and other personnel who want to learn more about cyber security

This half-day course provides practical knowledge in the following areas:
