Information Assurance Training : Introduction to NetOps

Information Assurance Technology Analysis Center (IATAC) Offers
Introduction to NetOps (NetOps 100) Course

If your work is connected with Department of Defense (DoD) information technology, chances are you’ve been hearing a lot about NetOps. Most frequently mentioned in conjunction with the Global Information Grid (GIG) and often perceived solely as a warfighting resource, NetOps’ reach actually extends throughout DoD to areas far removed from waging war. To provide a common understanding of NetOps functions, roles, responsibilities, and benefits, IATAC has developed a 5-module, introductory-level overview course, known as NetOps 100, and taken it on the road. Since July 2004 this training has been delivered to 1,656 students at 27 locations; including all 9 Combatant Commands, 11 DISA offices, and 3 conferences; with a participant satisfaction rating of over 90 percent.

Who Should Attend?

  • Project Managers, team members, and systems consultants involved with DoD information technology who need an overview of NetOps
  • Personnel who wish to have a fundamental understanding of NetOps

Objectives
Built around a real-world scenario to facilitate discussion, the half-day NetOps 100 course provides practical knowledge in the following areas:

  • Evolution of NetOps
  • Net-Centric Operations and Warfare
  • Global Information Grid (GIG)
  • Elements of NetOps
  • Command and Control (C2) Requirements for the GIG
