70th Shock and Vibration Symposium, Albuquerque, NM

Last year's Shock and Vibration Symposium, held in Albuquerque, NM, was the most successful in the history of SAVIAC, with 33 exhibitors present, and 374 attendees from all over the world. The featured government organizations for this symposium were Sandia National Laboratories, represented by Dave Smallwood and Dr. Tom Paez, and Dr. Eric Rinehart represented the Defense Threat Reduction Agency. The featured commercial organization was HI-Test Laboratories, which was represented by Ted Daves and Bill Yancey. Over 180 papers were presented in 30 unclassified sessions and 9 classified sessions. Over 10 tutorials were offered on the first day of the symposium, and this generated an interest in expanding tutorial offerings for future symposiums.
